Roster Named for 2008 Milk Cup in Northern Ireland
CHICAGO (July 21, 2008) – U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team head coach Thomas Rongen has named 18 players to travel to Northern Ireland for the 2008 Milk Cup, including five players from Major League Soccer and two who play abroad.

Of the 18, 11 players were part of the roster for the team’s most recent match, a border battle with Mexico that the U.S. won, 3-0. Peri Marosevic scored twice in that game while Brandon Manzonelli set up two goals from corner kicks. Goalkeeper Brian Perk and defenders Richard Balchan, Ike Opara, Anthony Wallace and Sheanon Williams led the team to a shut out.

Chivas USA's Jorge Flores will be returning to the U-20 lineup after scoring his first three professional goals in Major League Soccer. Flores was originally named to the roster for the Mexico game, but did not travel after suffering an ankle injury.

Midfielder Michael Green will be joining the team for his first-ever National Team camp, after he was spotted by Rongen at the Development Academy Finals, where he was playing with the Columbus Crew Academy squad that finished in third place.
